A commanding singer and a masterful player of the Anglo concertina and melodeon.

Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne is at the forefront of his generation of English folk musicians as both a powerful and commanding singer and a masterful player of the Anglo concertina and melodeon. Since bursting onto the scene in his teens, Cohen has amassed a string of awards and nominations, including a nomination for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Horizon Award in 2018.

Cohen has toured across the UK and abroad both as a soloist and with the much-loved energetic trio Granny’s Attic, along with collaborating with artists such as the Demon Barbers, Angeline Morrison, Reg Meuross and Stick in the Wheel. Cohen is touring his third solo album, ‘Play up the Music!’, which explores Caribbean and African American versions of English folk songs, showing how classic stories of human relationships and the turbulence of existence can have currency across cultures. Doors open at 7pm, on-stage at 7.30pm. Promoted by EFDSS.
