This event includes a special commission from internationally acclaimed Krump and Hip Hop artist Bruno Duarte hailing from Rio, Brazil as well as a new work from Kloe Dean alongside works from Birdgang Ltd, Simeon Campbell and Joseph Toonga. Just Us Dance Theatre proudly presents the UK’s inaugural paid Hip Hop Dance apprenticeship programme.

About Just Us Dance Theatre
Joseph Toonga, hailing from Cameroon and raised in East London, is an inventive and visionary choreographer rooted in the vibrancy of hip-hop culture, crafts and performs compelling dance productions deeply entwined with contemporary narratives. His distinct choreographic style fuses the essence of hip-hop with genuine life experiences, challenging societal norms, dismantling racial stigmas, and sparking transformative conversations.
Alongside extensive teaching and independent commissions, Joseph is Artistic Director of Just Us Dance Theatre, a sector leading Hip Hop organisation founded in 2007 with the aim to bring together, support and up-skill young Hip Hop dancers and early career artists from different backgrounds across the UK and internationally
