Casting Call: International search for King Kong the Musical at the Fugard Theatre in Cape Town, South Africa
We’re seeking the leading role of JOYCE:
late 20’s – 40, female. Originally played by Miriam Makeba, Joyce is a jazz singing Shebeen Queen. Full of emotional complexity and a voice to die for – the actress playing this role must be of South African descent.
Vocal Range: Soprano to High F5.
This is the first major revival of the famous South African Jazz Musical KING KONG, about heavyweight boxing champ Ezekiel Dlamini.
