Angie Le Mar: In My Shoes, Millfield Theatre
Written & Performed by: Angie Le Mar
Co-Directed by Shade Oladiti
Following the celebrated success of its Off-West End premiere run, the limitless Angie Le Mar, television and radio personality, actress, writer and renowned Stand-up Comedienne, is back with her new comedy hit show: In My Shoes.
In My Shoes is inspired by her groundbreaking comedy creations in Funny Black Women on the Edge, razor sharp scripts in her sell out plays The Brothers and Forty and the insightful comic observations from her 25 years Stand-Up career.
In My Shoes transports the audience straight to comedy’s edge and sees Angie Le Mar at her anarchic best. Angie plays homage to the great Whoopie Goldberg’s comedic ability to extend and expand the form of solo stand-up performance. She creates topical characters without stereo-type. She tackles contemporary issues which are relevant to the supportive audiences who have loyally followed her insightful social commentary, through countless stand-up performances, ground breaking theatre productions and zeitgeist radio journalism.
