ATN Review: The Pack Horse Hotel, Bolton
By Sophia Jackson
Published, Wednesday, 18 February, 2009

The Pack Horse Hotel, Bolton Located in Bolton’s Nelson Square, the Pack Horse hotel is around the corner from  the city centre which is about two minute’s walk away. If you’re on a tight budget, it’s the place to stay if you are looking for convenience and simply a bed for the night. It provided an ideal spot having been to the Octagon Theatre earlier and rounded off the night at The Bar, across the road from the Pack Horse, it was nice to walk less than a minute and be able to lay my head down.

The 100-year-old hotel has a large and welcoming reception area with helpful and attentive staff. Although the hotel is in need of refurbishment, the room had all the basics that you need, clean bedding, a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee and bathroom toiletries which were welcomed by my guest and I.

This budget hotel does what’s on the packet with prices starting as low as £40.00 for a double-room.
